JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a talented and analytical Actuarial Intern to join our actuarial team for the summer of 2025. The internship provides hands-on experience in actuarial science while working alongside experienced actuaries on meaningful projects including pricing, reserving, and predictive modeling. The ideal candidate will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and have passed one or more actuarial exams. This role offers competitive hourly compensation, exam fee reimbursement and study time, mentorship from experienced actuaries, real-world project experience, and potential for full-time employment upon graduation.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Support the development and maintenance of actuarial models and pricing tools.
  • Help prepare actuarial reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various insurance-related projects.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct statistical analysis using large claims datasets to identify loss trends and patterns.
  • Build and validate actuarial models for pricing new insurance products.
  • Create and present monthly loss ratio reports and utilization analyses.
  • Support rate filing preparation by gathering competitive intelligence and market analysis.
  • Develop Excel-based pricing tools with VBA automation.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field required.

 

  • 2+ Actuarial Exams Passed preferred.
