JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, IT Infrastructure is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and technical leadership across Community Health Choice's physical and virtual server environments, including infrastructure architecture, design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support. This role oversees enterprise server, VDI, virtualization, storage, and SAN platforms to ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and performance.

The Manager leads infrastructure planning, system modernization, capacity management, and major IT initiatives, including upgrades, migrations, maintenance cycles, and outage coordination. This position also provides leadership and performance oversight for assigned IT team members, ensures adherence to organizational standards and risk management objectives, and supports operational excellence through system audits, reporting, governance practices, and technical staff development.

Enterprise Infrastructure Operations and Platform Management
Oversee server infrastructure and all components of the enterprise virtual environment, including VMware, VDI, virtualization, storage, and SAN platforms. Ensure infrastructure stability, performance, scalability, operational efficiency, and alignment with current and future business demands.
 

Team Leadership, Performance Oversight, and Staff Development
Provide leadership, direction, and performance oversight for direct-report IT team members, ensuring accountability, alignment, and continuous development. Identify opportunities for team training and skills advancement, and design or support training programs and workshops to strengthen technical capabilities and promote knowledge sharing across IT teams.
Infrastructure Modernization and Major IT Initiatives
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance and modernize software, virtualization platforms, and infrastructure systems. Lead the planning and execution of major IT initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, maintenance cycles, and outage coordination.
 

Governance, Compliance, Security, and System Audits
Perform routine assessments of VMware infrastructure and data security controls to ensure compliance with organizational standards and risk management objectives. Conduct regular system audits to evaluate performance, security posture, and adherence to established policies and procedures. Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, standards, and best practices to support governance, security, and operational consistency.
 

Capacity Planning, Performance Monitoring, and Operational Reporting
Lead infrastructure capacity planning activities to align resources with current and future business needs. Prepare and present operational reports and system performance metrics to senior leadership, providing insight into infrastructure health, risks, trends, and performance opportunities.
Service Delivery, Cross-Functional Collaboration, and ServiceFIRST Standards
Deliver exceptional customer service by embracing ServiceFIRST standards during provider, member, visitor, and staff encounters. Work collaboratively with coworkers and IT partners to support reliable infrastructure services that meet or exceed internal customer, member, and provider expectations. Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, responsiveness, teamwork, and effective communication in all service interactions.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, IT Infrastructure or senior Information Technology leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelor's Degree required.

MCSE and VCP certified preferred

Work Experience (Years and Area): 

6 Years of IT systems Operations and Support

Management Experience (Years and Area): 

3 years of management experience, team lead or project lead experience 

Software Proficiencies: Microsoft 365 (Outlook Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT)
