JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Project Manager serves a crucial role in ensuring project success and strategic alignment. Will drive rigorous project execution, manage scope, time, cost, risks, and quality effectively while leading a collaborative and high-performing team. Position focuses strongly on stakeholder engagement, proactive communication, and thorough project evaluation. The Senior Project Manager is expected to be a champion of project management best practices, driving continuous improvement across Community's Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES:
Project Execution, Delivery, and Control
Scope and Change Management:
Define and document project scope aligned with strategic objectives.
Ensure scope control through rigorous change management processes to minimize scope creep.
Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to validate and adjust project deliverables as needed.
Schedule and Time Management:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and task dependencies.
Proactively track and manage project progress, adjusting timelines as required to mitigate risks and meet objectives.
Utilize project management tools to monitor and report on schedule performance.
Cost and Resource Management:
Develop comprehensive project budgets, track actual expenditures, and manage variances.
Optimize resource allocation, ensuring alignment with project needs and priorities.
Engage in vendor negotiations and oversight to maintain fiscal discipline and quality assurance.
Risk and Issue Management:
Identify, assess, and document potential risks and issues using a structured risk management framework.
Develop, implement, and monitor risk mitigation and contingency plans.
Escalate significant risks and issues to senior leadership with actionable recommendations.
Quality Management:
Establish and maintain quality standards to ensure deliverables meet organizational and stakeholder expectations.
Implement and monitor project-specific testing plans for hardware, software, and integration components.
Conduct quality assurance reviews and facilitate lessons learned sessions post-project.
Strategic Alignment and Benefits Realization
Benefits Identification and Tracking:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define measurable project benefits aligned with organizational goals.
Develop metrics to track benefits realization and ensure projects contribute to strategic objectives.
Review and report on benefits realization during project evaluation phases.
Stakeholder Management:
Engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and buy-in.
Facilitate steering committee meetings, executive updates, and stakeholder workshops.
Manage competing interests and build consensus to drive project success.
Project Evaluation and Review:
Conduct mid-project reviews and final evaluations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Perform post-implementation reviews to assess performance against success criteria.
Generate project-level hypotheses and validate them by directing all research and interviewing efforts.

Provide leadership to cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and a shared sense of purpose.
Provide timely, actionable, constructive feedback on a daily basis to team members.

Implement and refine Community's project management methodology, standards, and best practices.
Go beyond the obvious to create meaningful unknown/unmet, elegant solutions to address known/unmet, complicated problems.
Actively participate in task forces and director-level committees and contribute to the development and refinement of joint initiatives between Community's and various other healthcare-related institutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelors degree. Four (4) years of project management experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Work Experience (Years and Area): 6 years experience in project management with at least 3 of the 6 years with IT and/or healthcare or health insurance experience.
Experience using formal project management methodologies such as Waterfall and/or Agile.
Experience with PMBOK standards and guidelines.
Proven experience in project management deployments; on-time and within budget.
Leadership, team building, and analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to a stringent timeline.
Exceptional communication skills in public speaking, writing / composing correspondence / reports
Other Skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project or similar program
